"Shallow Body" CB Vintage J in Engelmann Spruce & Figured Mahogany

Created with the full-sized (16") body width of the CB Vintage J and the shallower (4-1/8") body depth of the CB AuditoriOM, the "Shallow Body" Vintage J offers surprising volume as well a quicker response and a more "immediate" tone. The decreased size of the air chamber coupled with the full-sized sound board yields a mellow yet powerful tone in a guitar of extraordinary miking capabilities.

Top: Engelmann Spruce. Large (4-3/16") soundhole with abalone rosette and tortoise-grained pickguard.

Top Finish: 1930s-style Sunburst.

Top Binding: Multiple grained ivoroid.

Back & Sides: Figured Honduras Mahogany with "checkerboard" back strip.

Back Binding: Multiple grained ivoroid.

Neck: Honduras Mahogany with diamond volute, "Rose" inlay on heel cap.

Peghead: Chris' trademark "Vintage" peghead shape with Ebony overlay & abalone CB logo.

Tuning Machines: Nickel-plated Waverly machines with "butterbean" buttons.

Fretboard: Ebony with no inlays (side position markers only).

Bridge: Ebony with "drop-in" bone saddle and bone bridge pins.

Pickup System: K&K passive pickup.
