Step-By-Step: Building a CB Guitar
|
The CB "Vintage 'Bone"Created to appeal to those players desiring a more traditional aesthetic, the CB Vintage 'Bone has a look and feel closer to the original pre-War dreadnought guitars. A powerhouse through and through, the CB Vintage 'Bone shares all the important features of its fancier and slightly more expensive cousin, the CB Herringbone, including premium-quality solid woods, hand-scalloped "high-X" bracing and tap-tuned tops. The Vintage 'Bone differs from the Herringbone in aesthetics only, featuring the new "Vintage" peghead shape with book-matched Cocobolo overlay and abalone CB logo inlay, unbound Ebony fingerboard with no inlays (side position markers only), hand-made Ebony bridge with no inlays, large sound hole with "double-ring" rosette, tortoise plastic pickguard, and a single "Rose" inlay on the heel cap. Chris' "Classic" peghead, fingerboard & bridge inlay patterns are available at additional cost; see Price List for additional information. The CB Vintage 'Bone offers the tone and bone-crushing power of the CB Herringbone in a more visually understated, traditionally elegant package. Click this link for sound samples of CB instruments.
