An Important Announcement from Chris Bozung

Since establishing CB Guitars in 1993 and stepping out on my own full-time in 2001, I have done my best to make the highest-quality guitars available anywhere, and to keep the price as low as possible. During this time God has richly blessed me, allowing my family to grow, allowing my circle of friends to ever expand, and allowing me to make a living doing what I truly love. I am very thankful for the success of CB Guitars; for the acceptance that my instruments have won in the hands of fine players and collectors around the world; and for the friendships I have developed with my clients, many of whom have ordered multiple instruments.

With the cost of quality materials spiraling ever higher (along with the cost of living) and given the prices that my guitars are commanding at resellers around the world, I am forced to institute the third price increase in the fifteen-year history of CB Guitars. As many of my customers have noted, I have priced my instruments well below current custom-luthier market values, and even below the market value of many factory-produced instruments. I have done this so as to help establish CB Guitars in the marketplace, and to place my guitars into the hands of players within a wide economic spectrum. I have been told by more than a few of my clients, "I don't see how you can build your instruments at such a low price!" Admittedly, it hasn't been easy, as the expense of the finest available tone woods and components, coupled with the great amount of time involved in hand-crafting my instruments, has guaranteed very slim profit margins and made it difficult to adequately provide for my growing family.

With this in mind, CB guitars are increasing in price by $700 across the board, effective April 1st, 2008.

Guitar models will be increasing by the following amounts:

Vintage 'Bone

Banjos will not be increasing in price at this time.

As I am sure you will recognize, even with the price increase my instruments are still very competitively priced when compared to other custom luthiers, and even with many off-the-shelf factory-built guitars.

All orders received before April 1st, 2008, will be priced at the current level.

Thank you for your patronage of CB guitars. As always, I appreciate your interest and I look forward to creating for you the instrument of a lifetime.

Sincerely,
